The Cre8audio is a modern performance sequencer that combines classic step-sequencing workflows with generative creativity. Developed in collaboration with Pittsburgh Modular, the device is aimed at musicians who want to combine structured composition with spontaneous live performance.
At its heart is an intuitive 32-pad matrix that offers direct access to steps, patterns and performance functions. Unlike many sequencers, you don’t have to navigate through menus here – all key parameters such as pitch, gate, ratcheting or conditions can be edited directly per step. This ensures a fast and creative workflow, both in the studio and on stage.
The combination of classic and generative functions is particularly powerful: you can either programme sequences precisely or let new ideas emerge through controlled randomisation. This makes the device suitable for both structured tracks and experimental, constantly evolving patterns.
With support for MIDI and CV/Gate, the device is extremely versatile – whether in a DAW setup, as the hub of a Eurorack system, or as a hybrid solution. The ability to arrange patterns into songs and recall them at any time turns the sequencer into a true performance tool.
The Cre8audio Programm is therefore not just a sequencer, but a creative control centre for modern electronic music production.
