Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme

This model is an advanced mixer for real professionals! You benefit from all the functions of the ATEM Mini Pro and also get eight HDMI inputs, two separate HDMI outputs, two USB ports and a headphone socket. This model also has four chroma keyers, six DVEs for picture-in-picture displays, two media players and a multiviewer for up to 16 views.

To offer you maximum compatibility, all ATEM Mini models have a USB port on board that functions as a simple webcam source. Simply connect it to a computer and record your work with any video software. The software reads ATEM Minis as an ordinary webcam, although in reality it is a live production mixer. This guarantees full compatibility with any video software in full 1080HD resolution quality. Use your favourite software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype to create broadcast-ready presentations in professional multicam style! The webcam output of ATEM Minis is also compatible with streaming software such as Open Broadcaster, XSplit Broadcaster and more.

The ATEM Mini Pro and ATEM Mini Extreme models have an integrated hardware streaming engine for live streaming via their Ethernet port. This allows you to stream live and in better quality without dropped frames to YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. The settings are also simpler. Simply select the streaming service provider and enter your stream key! Alternatively, you can view the streaming setup via the menu palettes in ATEM Software Control. The streaming status is also displayed in the multiviewer. You can see it immediately because the data rate display shows the internet speed required for the video format used. The tech-savvy can even update the streaming profiles in the XML settings file to load new services.

For live productions on location, the ATEM Mini Pro and Extreme models support mobile data connections with Apple or Android mobile phones via the USB port. This is also a great backup option to the main Ethernet connection. Tethering works with the latest mobile phones for 5G speed as well as other popular 4G mobile phones. The ATEM mixer automatically recognises a connected mobile phone and accesses its internet connection. This saves you having to change settings. As long as the mobile phone is connected, it draws power from the USB port and is thus charged by the mixer. The tethering option with mobile data makes ATEM Mini Pros and ATEM Mini Extremes the perfect mobile production solution!

The ATEM Mini Pro and Extreme models also support direct recording of your streaming data to USB flash memory. This allows you to achieve very long recording times for your streams in the same H.264 video files with AAC audio. You can upload the files directly to any video platform such as YouTube or Vimeo. Support for recording to multiple drives is provided via a USB hub or a Blackmagic MultiDock. When one drive is full, the next drive is accessed for uninterrupted recording. The settings for recording and selection of the data carrier are made in ATEM Software Control. The integrated multiviewer provides a display for the recording status. You can even trigger recording on connected Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras.
