The Audix I-5 is a dynamic microphone for miking instruments on stage and in the studio. It is particularly suitable for loud instruments such as snare or electric guitar etc. and is ideal for the event sector due to its absolutely tour-ready processing.
The I-5 was developed in response to requests from users and dealers for a universal, high-quality and cost-effective instrument microphone. Over the last few years Audix has successfully produced a wide range of application specialised microphones for e.g. drums and percussion. The I-5 is a synthesis of the experience gained from these developments. Audix is the leading U.S. manufacturer of high quality microphones for the event and studio market. The I-5 is designed with a cardioid polar pattern that allows the miked instrument to be transmitted without crosstalk from other instruments or sounds on stage. With a smooth, even frequency response of 50 Hz - 16 kHz and sound pressure processing of more than 140 dB, the I-5 is ideal for a wide range of applications in all musical genres.
Featuring the latest Audix instrument microphone technology, each model is made of durable cast zinc alloy in a slim shape with a unique basket design and laser-etched model and serial numbers.
The I-5 comes with a sturdy microphone clamp and a carrying case.
