Audient iD48

Bigger, better and more powerful than ever before! The iD48 is the flagship iD interface for producers and sound engineers. It features eight Audient Console Mic Preamps, advanced 32-bit ESS converter technology and with the new Switchable Analogue Insert technology, the iD48 seamlessly combines amazing audio performance with ease of use. Together with must-have professional features such as ADAT expandability and customisable monitor control, the iD48 is ready to transform the studio experience.

With the Audient Console Preamp, recordings can be optimally levelled. It offers 68dB of gain, ultra-low noise and low distortion with a touch of classic analogue warmth. The iD48's 8 Audient Console mic preamps provide a clean, accurate and true-to-source translation of audio data.

This is the same fully analogue and discrete microphone preamp circuitry used in Audient's renowned ASP8024-HE recording console. No emulations, no copies, just genuine analogue console microphone preamps.

The 32-bit ESS DAC converter technology minimises quality loss and maximises performance during conversion, ensuring that the sound is cleaner, clearer and more accurate than ever before. And with a dynamic range of 126.5 dB, subtle details are easier to hear, allowing problematic areas to be recognised more quickly.

With its D-Sub connectors, the iD48 offers eight fully balanced inserts that can be used to integrate favourite outboard effects before conversion - for the cleanest and clearest possible signal path. Perfect for stem mixing and print backs. And for the first time ever, the iD48's switchable insert routing allows you to select the source that feeds the ADC path. This allows you to choose whether the Audient Mic Preamp or the DAW outputs are sent to the outboard, per channel and all without having to plug or unplug any cables. And if external analogue mic preamps are to be recorded, the iD48 Returns can be used to bypass the Audient Mic Preamp, providing a very clean and direct conversion path for recording.

The iD48 is not only a powerful USB-C audio interface, but also offers everything you need to control monitoring in the studio. Speakers or other hardware can be connected for monitoring via the main and alto speaker outputs, but also via the additional line outputs.

Two fully independent stereo headphone amplifiers, with a dynamic range of 124 dB and sufficient power for headphones up to 600 ohms, offer the option of mixing confidently via headphones.

With the configurable function buttons, each of the iD48's powerful monitoring functions such as Speaker Select, Dim or Mono Sum can be assigned to the two dedicated hardware function buttons.

The iD48's innovative talkback technology can also be utilised, allowing a USB microphone or the computer's built-in microphone to be used as a dedicated talkback microphone, freeing up the microphone preamps for recording.
