The HORIZON 8P combines a complete recording front-end in just one rack unit. Eight genuine Audient console preamps – based on David Dearden’s circuit design for the ASP8024-HE console – lend every signal source an authentic analogue character and deliver 75 dB of clean, low-noise gain. At the same time, AURA Control adjusts the input impedance of each preamp directly within the hardware, thereby optimising the sound of ribbon, dynamic and condenser microphones right at the source.
When it comes to mixing, the eight DB25 line inputs seamlessly integrate your external hardware into the signal path. The 32-bit conversion, with a dynamic range of 133 dB and a round-trip latency of just 0.99 ms, enables recording and monitoring via native plug-ins with virtually no perceptible delay. With HORIZON Control, routing, monitoring and four individual cue mixes are just a mouse click away at all times.
