The new SQ+ series features the same chassis as the previous SQ series, but with a completely redesigned GUI, a larger 9-inch touchscreen, new channel displays, faders and rotary controls.
SQ show files can be loaded onto the new SQ+ – but not vice versa. All I/O expanders work in exactly the same way on the new SQ+ as they do on the existing SQ. All accessories (brackets, dust covers, cards, expanders) work in exactly the same way on the new SQ+.
The processing, with 48 channels and 26 buses, is identical to the existing SQ, with the following key differences:
In addition to the 8 standard FX engines, the new SQ+ features an integrated UltraFX engine with 4 slots – plugins are available exclusively via the Allen & Heath webshop.
The new SQ+ can load the new Compstortion compressor (=Distressor plugin)
Users who register their newly purchased SQ+ console online will receive the complete DEEP Processing Bundle free of charge (excluding UltraFX plugins!)
