The MPD218 is a USB MIDI pad controller perfect for producers, sound designers, musicians and DJs. Merging the intuitive MPC control and easy USB connectivity, the MPD218 combines the feel of the classic drum machine with the world of computer-based music production.
Experience the difference:
The new Thick Fat MPC pads are very sensitive and respond immediately to the user's inputs. The MPD218 offers six knobs in 3 banks, as opposed to just one control on the previous MPD18, allowing you to get the best sound and precise control over effects. MIDI data is transferred to the Mac or PC via the plug-and-play USB interface without the need to install a driver. The MPD218 is powered solely via USB and the supplied cable is all you need.
Extras:
Not only have we refined the general functionality, the MPD series is now also iOS compatible via the Camera Connection Kit (sold separately). A software package worth around 400 is also included (Big Bang Drums and Big Bang Cinema from Sonivox, Ableton Live Lite and a software preset editor). The MPD2 family is a significant point in the evolution of our pad controller series. Akai MPD218 – Ultimative Verbesserung des Workflows
Schon nach kurzer Zeit des Ausprobieren bin ich restlos begeistert von AKAI's MPD218. Insbesondere das Feature "MPC Note Repeat" eröffnet mir völlig neue Möglichkeiten hinsichtlich Produktion und Workflow. Mittels dem NR CONFIG-Button lassen sich Beats ganz spielerisch basteln und zu verfeinern – und das "on the flow". Für alte MPC-Hasen ist dies natürlich keine Neuerung. Demjenigen allerdings, der einen Pad-Controller sucht nach dem Motto gut & günstig und bisher vlt. keine MPC-Erfahrung hat, sei dieser Controller wärmstens empfohlen. Daumen hoch!
