The HandSonic HPD-20 goes far beyond a typical pad controller. It is a sophisticated percussion instrument with 13 velocity-sensitive pads and an amazing amount of expressiveness. You can influence the sounds by the force and pressure you apply to the pad, allowing you to mute, tune, stop and much more. This allows traditional acoustic hand percussion techniques to be perfectly realised with an authentic playing feel and dynamics. The two large pads in particular allow you to play with natural tonal variations, depending on where and how you strike the pads. Further sound control functions are possible with the Roll and Realtime Modify buttons, as well as the popular D-BEAM controller. This allows you to modify sounds in a cool way and add effects.

The HPD-20 offers 850 high-quality sounds. You can choose from a rich library of ethnic percussion instruments from all over the world, as well as melodic and orchestral percussion. The HandSonic also contains traditional drum and electro sounds that are ideal for contemporary pop music. Thanks to the powerful combination of SuperNATURAL sound generation, ultra-sensitive response and the unique functionality of the HandSonic pad interface, the HPD-20 offers incredibly dynamic expressiveness. A total of 200 kits including 100 preset kits can be freely modified for any style or playing situation.
