Regardless of the desired style, the 1960A pushes the guitar to the forefront of the stage sound. The 75 celestions deliver a penetrating rock sound and powerful pressure. If you want a more restrained guitar sound or want to play in the living room, please look for a different model (e.g. cabinets with greenback fittings)! Rich volume for crisp bass response Despite the pronounced high mid-range of the 75" Celestions, the volume of the Marshall full-size cabinets guarantees a clean bass response. The bass of this speaker is tight and clear - but not emphasised! If, on the other hand, you are looking for a real emphasis on the bass, you are better off with a 1960AV or a cabinet with a greenback configuration.

The 1960A is also popular as a stereo speaker for small rack systems. In stereo mode, the connection impedance is 2x8 ohms. If a completely clean channel separation is required for larger gigs, a second 1960A can be added, for example, with an impedance of either 4 ohms or 16 ohms. Tapped connections... 90% of the sound of a cabinet comes from the cabinet - and completely different principles apply here than with PA or hi-fi speakers, for example! One of the essential ingredients for the legendary sound of Marshall cabinets are their mortised cabinets.
