KNOT is a pocket-sized USB MIDI host that seamlessly connects classic MIDI instruments such as synthesisers, grooveboxes and guitar pedals with modern USB MIDI devices and controllers, such as the grid controllers from Intech Studios. Whether in the studio or on the road, KNOT fits perfectly into any setup and simplifies the integration of various devices thanks to its flexibly switchable A/B TRS-MIDI connections.
Compatibility
KNOT has two 3.5 mm TRS sockets for sending and receiving MIDI data. These jacks can be switched between A and B wiring to ensure full compatibility with different manufacturer designs. The "A" standard is used by Korg, Make Noise, IK Multimedia, Line 6 and others, while the "B" standard is used by Arturia (BeatStep Pro), Novation (Launchpad Pro), 1010music, Polyend and others.
Power supply
KNOT offers versatile power supply options. You can power it via a high-speed USB-C 2.0 connection or with a DC charger. Thanks to automatic polarity detection, both chargers with positive and negative connections are compatible. For added convenience, KNOT can also be powered via USB-C, allowing you to use standard chargers for smartphones or portable power banks.
