Nate Mendel has two bassist souls: an aggressive and a romantic-melodic one. In his long career, he has thoroughly lived out both sides. From the hardest hardcore punk to his time with Sunny Day Real Estate and worldwide mega-success with the Foo Fighters. During all these decades, there was only one instrument for Mendel: the 1971 Precision Bass®. So much loyalty deserves to be celebrated with an Artist bass. The Nate Mendel P Bass® is designed exactly according to the preferences of its namesake. The special body shape and the particularly slim neck and nut correspond to the original. We have treated the beautiful Candy Apple Red finish with a subtle worn effect so that it looks stylishly aged rather than brand new. A black pickguard sits on the body, while a powerful Seymour Duncan® Quarter Pound Split Single-Coil produces the heavy sound. The Badass® II bridge does what its name promises: it offers reliable tuning stability, great sound and endless full sustain even with a rough playing style. Naturally, this robust beauty bears the autograph of Nate Mendel on the headstock. On the neck plate you will find the exclusive Foo Fighters/Fender logo. A deluxe gig bag is included.

Fender is considered one of the biggest manufacturers and pioneers of solid body guitars. As the creator of the Telecaster and Stratocaster, founder Leo Fender created milestones in the history of electric guitars and thus a cult following. The name Fender alone is enough to evoke melodies, memories and emotions in the mind.
